Camp Rainbow
Camp Rainbow is our signature program, founded in 1970: A summer day camp available to all Orleans County children, with and without disabilities.
Campers play and learn side by side, encouraging friendships and understanding. Swimming, special events, music, arts and crafts, nature study, sign language, cooperative games and athletics are offered.
The Shenberger family donated property for Camp Rainbow on Townline Road in Lyndonville to offer children with disabilities the opportunity for fun and interaction with other children. Volunteers spent hundreds of hours clearing the land and building facilities.
Today, the property serves our campers, and is available for other camps, retreats and functions.
Any Orleans County child who has completed kindergarten can apply to attend for a couple of days a week, a week, part-time or the entire season.
Tuition is $90 a week and $75 for transportation and includes meals. Scholarships are available.
Programs include:
- Guided and recreational swimming.
- Arts and crafts.
- Group sports.
- Music.
- Nature and science.
- Exploration.
- A Trip to the Orleans County Fair
