Supported Work
People with developmental and other disabilities are eligible
for The Arc's Supported Work Program. They are assisted
in matching their interests, skills and talents with jobs in the
community.
Assistance is given to help people find employment and then
keep it. Staff offer a variety of short and long-term supports
including assessment, hands-on job coaching and advocacy with employers
as needed. Positions range from manufacturing to food service to
retail and clerical.
The Arc's Auto Detail Shop provides professional car,
truck and boat cleaning services for the community and area businesses.
People learn specialized skills and customer service techniques.
Area businesses receive outstanding custodial services from The Arc's Mobile Cleaning Crew. Contracts provide skills training
that helps prepare individuals with disabilities for competitive
employment.
Job placement is also available for people
reentering
the workforce after an injury or an illness. Staff work with participants
on assessment, job placement and job retention. For more information contact
